University Libraries launches Penn State Behrend student psychology journal

The Open Publishing team at the University Libraries has introduced a new academic publication called The Behrend Psychology Journal. This open access journal features original research conducted by undergraduate and graduate psychology students at Penn State Behrend.

The online publication marks a shift from its previous format. The journal originally began as a print edition in 1995. Archived copies of those earlier issues are maintained at the John M. Lilley Library located on the campus.

By moving to an open access model, the journal aims to make student research more widely available to readers, scholars, and the public. The publication continues a decades long tradition of showcasing student work in the field of psychology while adapting to modern digital distribution methods. The project reflects ongoing efforts by the libraries to support student scholarship and provide platforms for academic growth.
