The University of Dubuque is adding a new graduate degree to its catalog, a Master of Arts in Organizational Psychology, designed for professionals who want to understand and improve how people work together. The program, set to welcome its first cohort in the fall, focuses on applying psychological principles to real workplace challenges, from team dynamics to leadership development.

University officials say the curriculum goes beyond theory. Students will study topics like employee motivation, organizational culture, and conflict resolution, but they will also complete practical projects that let them test those ideas in actual settings. The goal, according to program coordinators, is to produce graduates who can step into roles as HR specialists, training managers, or internal consultants, and immediately contribute to making their organizations more effective and humane.
